Awake but Not Alive

I woke early and went to the lounge to settle down to rest before you, Lord

Yet my heart was open to the world and it’s turmoil and I cried out, Father save me

And in this place of rest I lay there alive only by one thing, your love

So I give you my hand today Lord

I open your word for a look into the very thing you gave

It is life, you instrument the change in me to give you praise, cos in you alone is life.

You alone hold the very key to my heart

You alone are my Father who cares for me in a way that I can barely contain

Because you alone receive the glory, you alone receive the prayer of my heart

It cries out for loving kindness and glory pertains to it

Because you see me now, I can rest.

I can reside in your soul, body pertaining to grace.

I can give you all that I am

I can trust you that your heart will securely give me what I ask for in you

That in this place of great love you would securely present our request before you Lord

That I would again be found in grace before you.

For in you alone is my hope found.

For in you is my hope found.

I Looked at Him and Died but He Gave me Life Again Cos He Loved Me

I looked at him in the middle of my time today before his loving face It took my gaze, and I made him proud of me Yet as I waited my heart grew dim and I gave way to sin Yet he never forsook his promise to be with me And my hope to heal my heart fell away Yet I hear him saying, I alone can heal a heart that grows cold and dim Yet he waits for me and I carry my heavy heart to his hand And he rests with intent of caring for my love So beaten, broken and bruised he took me in Beaten and sore, my wound he healed Shown love from the spotless lamb of God He showed me I care for you He showed me love   Photo by   Bill Fairs   on   Unsplash

Found in the Arms of Grace

I was use to walking along the road with no one to guide me in which way I was to go. Now I see the way is a narrow road, not broad, that leads to life (John 7:13-14). I am able to see a piece of grace as a gift from God’s hand, not a limitation that restricts me from seeing his love. So I press forward toward the goal of receiving Christ as my inheritance. This I do, forget what is behind and press forward toward the heavenly calling we have in God’s son Jesus (Philippians 3:14).  For I was once lost in sin, unable to see, deaf from all the drowning noise of chaos and lost in my own pride of life. I thought I was alone because there was no one who could save me. Yet I was only dead due to a decision to forget who I as made to be. I am now in the light, not of life alone, but also of God’s grace. I leave my baggage of tormented soul to enter a new age of transformation. Like a butterfly I used to crawl, now I saw above the wind and lift up above the waves.  In the start o...

Faith at the End of My Life

Are you aware of God’s love? Not the ether or the outer, the inner love of the almighty. This is different, this empowers and overtakes heart ache, pain and disappointment. It is for you to discover in Jesus.  Let’s look at him for a moment and gaze at him for a sound of a chime on the clock. We are now older, yes, though wiser in every single way. He envelops us by his gaze, we see the bright full eyes of God in him who stands before me looking to relinquish my pain and settle the debt of my longing to be with him, sin.  Now faith records for us a legacy. Where at the end of my life do I see myself? Is it in a place of regret or shame? Or am I in a place of whole hearted devotion to Him? Is it hard to understand who I am in the eternal vision of Jesus? Or shall I lay down my ambition to behold him? I will answer this, that He is very worth my all in. I place all my hope in him. I place my eternal significance in this, that He gave it all for me. Hope defered can make y...
