Lost and broken in two I call on my King Found unable to sing I walk into the midst of a bonfire pit I walk into the midst of turmoil  And yet I burn for lust and greed My hand he lifts and steadies Yet I am in need  He answers my call I am free to be me

I was open to his word this day I call to you I was open to him in a way which I would call free Yet my song wasn’t found in him alone I was caught in my own in ability to free me See I wasn’t alone in my struggle with sin He came in and gave me love for the very thing I hurt for I saw the need of those people in my life that needed my love And I saw the hope that was within them This I made a choice to sing This I made a long answer one of yes Because I see him standing with eyes of longing Because I can’t do this alone Because he beckons me towards him I lean not on my own understanding rather on the one who gives me life

There I was along the road of destruction again Falling into the pit of despair I was overtaken with fear and loss was my portion Yet in this place he saw me there Awaken oh my soul to this tune Awake to this sound For on the hills is a merry tune  One from long ago Where I will lay my head upon his breast I will rest in his embrace Cos in this place I fear not In this, I am found.

I was away wandering the byways of life When I saw you there standing next to me You looked at me with compassion in your eye You took me in, and I stood at the abyss of darkness unafraid Because you were with me, I could face my fear Because you were there my fears are gone.

  "Some people use my name in vain and pour out wrath upon my people", says the Lord "Yet, I the Lord use only free men to rise up a banner of love." So, waiting on the Lord this day, I proclaim he is King He will reign over me in loving embrace cos my heart is ready and able to serve him. I will proclaim my Lord is ready to serve all who promise to serve him I will praise God, my Father in Heaven for his great mercy to us Cos in this place he spoke freedom and grace to all who listen Cos in this name I raise up a banner of love for all to see I am walking in freedom you see, I will pour out my heart to you oh my King That you would be found in me Come, let us pray to God for our nation to see.
